Thappana is an upcoming Malayalam film Produced by Milan Jaleel in banner of Galaxy Films, directed by Johny Antony starring Mammootty in the lead role, alongside Charmy Kaur who plays the female lead and Murali Gopy who acts a major supporting role. The film is set to hit the screens on 20 August 2012 coinciding with the festival of Eid. The story is about two convicts who are released from jail on the same day and their travel together to unknown destinations.
